Maureen is a Managing Director in Deloitte LLP’s Center for Board Effectiveness. As a leading subject matter resource on a variety of corporate governance topics, Maureen advises boards, committees and executives on governance challenges, rules and leading practices. She is a frequent speaker to boards and other audiences on a variety of governance topics such as: the role of the board, board governance hot topics and current landscape, proxy season and shareholder-related topics, boardroom agenda items, audit committee leading practices, private company governance, IPO governance corporate governance legislative developments and rule developments, the board’s role in risk oversight, strategic risks and considerations for board service.

Maureen is the named governance liaison resource to several of Deloitte’s most significant and complex clients and provides education to boards and audit committees. She leads client board labs for new board and audit committee members, as well as transitioning board members taking on board or committee leadership roles. She was instrumental in the development of Deloitte’s Center for Board Effectiveness and has led many of its activities including the development of research and thought leadership and director programming. In 2018, 2017 and in 2016, Maureen was recognized by NACD Directorship magazine as one of the top 100 influential professionals in corporate governance and in the boardroom.

Maureen has over 28 years of business experience with Deloitte. Prior to leading the development of the Center for Board Effectiveness, Maureen worked in the Merger and Acquisition Services group and the Audit practice.
